Lange Voorhout in Den Haag...

I happened across this lovely avenue by chance, discovering later that it is the site of annual summer sculpture exhibitions. What most tickled my fancy was this chap (or lass)...

...who clearly decided s/he was competing with a neighbour...

Also on Lange Voorhout...

...and a nearby book market...

  2. Ooh, I didn't know what sort of bird it was. Thanks Niki. It let me come very close (probably in hope of food). Lots of bands on legs. No I didn't buy any books - can't carry them :-(( There were some lovely ones too, real collectors' books.

  3. That last shot looks so summery with the high sun and cooler shade. Neat cobbled pathways hey ?

  5. I too would have to check out the book market. Booksellers---my stop of choice in any city---even before the museums!

  6. Ah, but the problem Deb is with what I can - or can't - carry. I am determined to travel light so, unless I am going to ship books home (expensive), I am having to avoid bookshops :-( My first stop is art galleries :-)
