Leiden...

Spent yesterday in Leiden, only 15 minutes on the train from Holland Spoor. Just the loveliest old town, surrounded and bisected by canals. And it was sunny!!! Leiden has the oldest university in The Netherlands and heaps of young people riding bikes. I think the best thing I can do is post a selection of photos to try and give a sense of Leiden's character. (Most of these photos were taken in the morning when the streets were still quite quiet).

    At last! Some time to read your blog. How I've missed it. Hope to read every single post I've missed. This one is so beautiful. May not comment on all, or at least will keep them short---but eager to go on this trip with you!

    Hi Deb. Yes, despite my protestations about 'obligation' and so forth I so agree with Niki! On the up side, there won't be many more posts to come. On the down side - that's a lot of reading :-/
