...by the side of the canal in town, I immediately thought the worst. Was surprised, given my track record with rats, at how squeemish I felt about having a house guest. But then, more movement and a small, short-haired cat lept over the sofa and out the window.
Relief!!!
I think that is the first time I have ever seen a rat posed in what I associate with a mouse. I suspect in the game of life it would be Cat 1, Rat 0. Besides, it wouldn't be a "Jane place" without a moggy...

ReplyDeleteYup - it went back in the canal when I came closer and swam to the bank on the other side. It was bigger than it looks in this photo too!
